The name Living Word of Faith came up in 1988 when a church was initially established in Sierra Leone as the Living Word of Faith Bible Church, by a group of young men and woman who had a burning vision from God.
In 1991, the current General Overseer, Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly who is a founding member, became Pastor of the Church. By divine mandates, and with the vision amplified in his heart, Bishop Akintayo Sam-Jolly launched the Ministry into the Living Word of Faith Outreach Ministries International (LWFOMI). Since then, LWFOMI has grown into a multifaceted dynamic ministry, with twenty-four(24) branches; in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Gambia and the United Kingdom. LWFOMI has impacted Sierra Leone and other countries globally, through the teachings of the General Overseers; Bishop Akintayo & Rev Mrs. Veralina Sam-Jolly, on various platforms, one of which is the Encounter Conferences and Revivals. Other local and international meetings and conferences, leadership training programs, and media broadcasts have also produced tremendous impact.
